Summary
This report presents the findings from the Annual Review Survey for Parent Carers, conducted by "Your say Southend" between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. The survey aimed to gather feedback on the annual review process for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and identify areas for improvement in supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The survey results indicate that:
- The majority of respondents learned about the survey through the Local Offer website or social media.
- Most children attend infant/junior/primary/secondary school, and autism is the most frequently cited main reason for needing additional support.
- While most EHCPs were reviewed within the last 12 months, a significant portion of respondents indicated that a review had not been arranged.
- Parents generally felt fully involved in the review process and in planning their child's support.
- The support received is largely seen as flexible, meeting needs, and making a positive impact.
- Areas identified for improvement include communication from the SEND Team, having choice and control, and support for community inclusion.
- A majority of respondents consented to being contacted for future discussions.
