Consultation has concluded
Better Queensway Housing Needs Survey September 2020
The Better Queensway project is progressing, and we have submitted our first planning application. Should the plans be approved, the four tower blocks that form the current Queensway estate would be demolished in stages and replaced with a high-quality development of up to 1,760 modern new homes.
Porters Place LLP Southend-On-Sea is undertaking a Housing Needs Survey for all secure tenants on the Queensway estate. This survey will allow Swan Housing and Southend Council to learn more about residents currently living on the estate and understand their needs for the future.
A previous survey was undertaken by South Essex Homes back in December 2019. This new survey will provide updated data and can assist the LLP to ensure we understand the needs of secure tenants living on the Queensway estate. During the Better Queensway regeneration project we will be required to continually survey residents, to ensure our date is up-to-date and correct. Therefore there will be further surveys carried out in the future. The online survey can be found on lower down this page.
As a thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, if your return it either online or via the attached paper copy before Friday 16th October at 5pm you will be entered into a prize draw. This prize draw will be chosen at random and the resident selected will win £50 Love2shop vouchers.*
I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey, if you have any questions or need assistance to complete the survey please contact James Colwell, Community Activation Officer - Mobile: 07860411042 I Direct 01277 314957 I Main Tel: 0300 303 2500
