Free Hate Crime Ambassador Training from Essex Police

Essex Police is pleased to offer FREE Hate Crime Ambassador sessions, open to all individuals, community groups and organisations interested in learning more about Hate Crime and how to support those affected.

Sessions will take place online as follows:

  • Tuesday 10th February 13.00 - 15.00
  • Wednesday 11th February 10.30 - 12.30
  • Thursday 26th February 14.00 - 16.00

Each session lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and includes:

  • A presentation by a Hate Crime Officer
  • Interactive discussions and real-life scenarios

By the end of the session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of:

  • What constitutes Hate Crime
  • Categories of Hate Crime
  • The impact on victims
  • Vulnerable victims and Mate Crime
  • Reporting mechanisms
  • Available support services
