Consultation has concluded
We’re looking for people to join our Local Transport Plan Community Group to help develop a new Local Transport Plan for Southend-on-Sea. This will set out the plan for improving all forms of transport in the city to 2040.
You don’t have to be ‘interested in transport’ to take part – if you are interested in making Southend a great place to live and work then we want to hear from you.
The Group will be co-ordinated by consultancy Steer on behalf of Southend-on-Sea City Council.
How you can take part
We’re looking for people from across Southend-on-Sea City Council area to get involved.
The Group will be active from May 2022 to September 2022 and will usually involve participating in around one activity per month, such as joining a meeting or video call, reading short documents or listening to brief presentations, and providing your views e.g. by completing a survey.
We want you to:
Tell us what you think transport in the city should look like in the future
Provide feedback on the aims and objectives of the Local Transport Plan
Help develop ideas for transport schemes and initiatives to be included in the plan, covering all types of transport: public transport, roads, parking, walking and cycling, and freight and deliveries
To apply
If you want to take part, please fill in our short survey, which will help us to recruit a good mix of local residents from across the city. There are limited places on the Group, and we won’t be able to take everyone. We will send you an email to let you know if you have a place or not. Please complete your application by Friday 6th May 2022.
