Notice is hereby given that the Council intends to authorise an increase in the table of fares for journeys by Hackney Carriages and metered Private Hire vehicles in accordance with the schedule set out below.

In accordance with Section 70 (3) (b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 a copy of this notice may be inspected without payment during normal office hours at the Council’s offices for a period of 28 days from the date of this notice. Objections should be mailed to the above address or emailed to placeconsultations@southend.gov.uk stating the reasons for the objection.
If objection is duly made as aforesaid and is not withdrawn, the variation shall come into force on 1March 2024 with or without modification as decided by Southend-on-Sea City Council Licensing Committee after consideration of the objections.
