Have your say on the proposed increases to taxi licensing fees. 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026
In accordance with Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, we are consulting on increasing the fees paid for applications associated with taxi and private hire vehicle, driver and operator licences. Please be advised this consultation relates to the fees paid by Licence holders to The Council.
There is no change proposed to the fares paid for riding in a taxi.
Objections to the proposed must be submitted in writing at the address on the right, or emailing consultations@southend.gov.uk not more than 14 days (4th March) after the publication of this notice.
