Consultation has concluded
Notice is hereby given that the Council intends to authorise an increase in the table of fares for journeys by Hackney Carriages and metered Private Hire vehicles in accordance with the schedule set out below.
All current fares remain unchanged, however a new ‘extra’ fare is proposed as follows:
For a period of six months, or until, or until a permanent fare increase is proposed by the trade, accepted by committee and implemented, whichever is sooner, a ‘Fuel Surcharge’ of 40p per journey shall apply.
Objections to the proposed increase must be submitted in writing to me at the address below, not more than 14 days after the publication of this notice.
Any person wishing to object to the increase in fares as set out in the Schedule above, or to make any representations in relation thereto, may do so in writing or viaplaceconsultations@southend.gov.uk(External link) stating the objections or representations, within 14 days of the date of publication of this notice.
