Consultation has concluded

Have your say on the Licensing policy statement of the principles that Southend-on-Sea City Council proposes to apply regarding the licensing of Scrap Metal.

Southend-on-Sea City Council, as the Licensing Authority has prepared and published a statement of the principles that it proposes to apply when exercising its functions under the Scrap Metal Act 2013.

The Licensing Policy Statement lasts for a maximum of five years and commence when the current policy will ends early in 2023. Southend-on-Sea City Council is now consulting on their latest draft policy. Those consulted will include the responsible authorities designated under the Act as well as trade groups and residents

To enable a comprehensive review of the the licensing policy, we would welcome your views.

This document followed the Council's cabinet process and has now been adopted.
