Permanent School Exclusions Routemap

Permanent exclusion is sometimes unavoidable as a last resort. While the Department for Education (DfE) does not specify particular behaviours that lead to permanent exclusion, a head teacher has the authority to take this step in response to unacceptable behaviour that violates school rules, whether it occurs inside or outside of school.

This means your child will no longer attend their current school and will need to continue their education full-time at an alternative provision. For young people in Southend-on-Sea, this will be Victory Park Academy.

This routemap outlines the process involved and provides information on where to find support during this transition.
