What is Advocacy?
Advocacy is about making sure that people's wishes and opinions are heard and their rights are upheld.
Advocates help people to speak up for themselves and can also help by voicing people’s views if they are unable to do this for themselves.
Southend's All Age Advocacy Service
Southend-on-Sea City Council is exploring how to improve its all age advocacy services. This includes advocacy support for:
- Adults
- Young People
- Children

We want to hear your views and experiences if you have used advocacy, or have been involved in it. This will help us make sure all age advocacy services work well for everyone.
