Consultation has concluded
During our Foster Carers conference in January we shared that we are looking to develop a fostering community in which our carers are trauma informed, therapeutically minded and to review the Southend Offer.
In this review we would like to consult you on what changes would help support your role as Foster Carers. This consultation is to understand what it means to foster in Southend, what support is currently offered and what further support can be put in place to support you in managing the role.
Feedback from comments made during the Annual Foster Carers Survey and the Foster Carer Conference in January found the current pay structure and training offer are areas that require more clarity and transparency. Your views and thoughts are essential to the next phase to help us understand what is most important to you and to provide an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas in this project.
If you have any questions about this Consultation or would like to complete the survey in a different way e.g. on paper, please contact Sonia Jenkins on Email: SoniaJenkins@Southend.Gov.UK
The survey will close on Monday 23rd November at 5pm.
We will share the results of the consultation on the Your Say Southend site and you can visit this page for a summary of responses. If you would like a paper copy of the feedback summary please email Sonia Jenkins Email: soniajenkins@southend.gov.uk
There will also be an update posted on the Foster Carers Forum.
