Help shape the future of travel in Southend!
We are developing a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) to make it easier and safer for everyone to walk, wheel, and cycle for local trips. Wheeling includes using a pram, wheelchair, or scooter. By improving routes and spaces, we can create a cleaner, greener, and healthier Southend where people feel safe, active, and connected. This plan will link homes to key places like town centres, schools, workplaces, stations, and the hospital.
We want to hear from you! Tell us about your walking, wheeling, and cycling habits and what changes would make these journeys better for you. Your feedback will help shape the routes and networks that work for everyone.
Have your say today and help make Southend a healthier, happier place for all, by completing the survey below.
Survey closes at 5pm on 17 March 2026

We are committed to making the Southend-on-Sea Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) accessible to as many people as possible. However, we are aware that the full LCWIP document may not be fully compatible with screen readers or other assistive technologies because some files are in PDF or older Office formats and may lack correct document structure, headings, labels, or alternative text for images and diagrams, including complex maps or diagrams where providing a full text alternative would be considered a “disproportionate burden.” To improve accessibility, we have provided a Summary document as an alternative format and are working to make further improvements.
