Consultation has concluded
COVID-19, Brexit and changes on the high street have had a significant impact on the economic picture, not only in Southend but globally. As we look to economic recovery, Levelling-Up, the emerging Shared Prosperity Fund, a refresh to Southend 2050 and a new Southend Proposition (joint economic growth and skills strategy) it seems timely to consider areas for focus, what we already do well in Southend and areas where we need to develop. We are moving into a new phase of economic policy, strategy and delivery in Southend – and we need to position the council and partners to deliver high quality outcomes with and for residents and businesses.
The survey is open to a wide variety of stakeholders and partners about the emerging Southend Proposition and what the group should focused on over the coming years.
These surveys in combination will enable the council to shape direction and functions so that they are fit for purpose and we are able to deliver against new or reset priorities and ambitions.
The survey closes on 21st May 2021
