Southend-on-Sea City Council proposes to vary the statutory permissible fees chargeable for Hackney Carriage, Private Hire Vehicle and Operator’s Licences. The charges set out below will take effect on 28 February 2023 unless objection is made and not withdrawn.
Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence
1 Year £348.00
Private Hire Vehicle Licence
1 Year £310.00
Private Hire Operators Licence
5 Years £1,277.00
Between 2 & 3 years £1,070.00
Less than 2 Years £860.00
1 year 3 or less vehicles £117.00
In accordance with Section 70 (3) (b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 a copy of this notice may be inspected without payment during normal office hours at the Council’s offices for a period of 28 days from the date of this notice.
If objection is duly made as aforesaid and is not withdrawn, the variation shall come into force on 1st April 2023 with or without modification as decided by Southend-on-Sea City Council Licensing Committee after consideration of the objections.
