This consultation concluded on 4th December any further submissions will not be counted.
Thank you for taking part.
The Localism Act of 2011 introduced a requirement for local housing authorities in England to prepare and publish a Tenancy Strategy.
The purpose of a tenancy strategy is to give Registered Providers of Social Housing (RPSH) (also known as ‘Housing Associations’) operating in Southend-on-Sea an indication of the approach the Council would like them to take when preparing their Tenancy Management Policies.
As a Registered Provider itself, this also impacts upon the types of tenancy the Council will offer to prospective tenants of the Council’s housing stock.
Local authorities have an obligation to consult private registered providers on a draft of the strategy, but we would also like to hear from existing social housing tenants and also potential future tenants.
