4. Improvements to the Nature Garden at Leigh Library Gardens.

We want to transform an ugly, neglected part of Leigh Library Gardens - the Nature Garden - into an attractive feature full of wildflowers and wildlife. We are bidding to fund Phase 1 of the project. This involves clearing a designated area, creating a pond surrounded by hard landscaping and growing swathes of wildflowers. The water feature and wildflowers will improve biodiversity and quickly attract butterflies, pollinators, birds, amphibians and small mammals. It will also create an attractive visual display. Later phases of the project will extend wild flowers over the entire Nature Garden.
