Consultation has concluded
How would you want to be looked after if you needed care or support?
By telling us what you think, you will help us improve the way you, your family or friends may be cared for if you need support.
The integrated commissioning team at the Council is having these discussions with those who have and have not used care services, so that they can decide what kind of services we will have in future. Social care is the care and support of vulnerable people, usually in the community – this could be help in terms of maintaining independence, social interaction, support in or removal from vulnerable situations and help in managing complex issues in day to day life. This could take place in someones own home, where they live, or a professional setting, or somewhere else out in the community.
We want to think about this in different ways: for Older People, People of Working Age and Children and Young People.
We’ll gather all the ideas from this space, as well as from our conversations with other groups and forums to create a summary to share with everyone. We'll then come back to speak to people, including the Youth Council, to share what will happen next, who will be involved and how you may have shaped the future!
Please take the surveys and respond in the forum to share more ideas!
The project space is open until the 1st November 2020

Read through the following 10 principles of how we should work together - Do you agree with them?
Accessibility - we use creative solutions so people who want to contribute to co-production can
Courage with Compassion - we step out of our comfort zone and understand others do the same
Honesty - we are honest with each other –we identify where different agendas may compete
Inclusivity - a range of people who use and deliver services are openly invited to participate so we have a diversity of perspectives
Reciprocity - we ensure that voluntary contributions to co-production are recognised and rewarded in a range of ways.
Resource - we commit sufficient time, space and energy to work co-productively
Respect - we respect all voices and range of viewpoints
Transparency - we know what we are working on and why and we regularly communicate to others about co-production initiatives and activity
Humility - we agree we can’t predict the future, none of us own it and all of us only have a partial view of the world
Shared understanding – we create this together but it doesn’t mean we all agree. Co-production needs the tensions and differences of perspectives to draw the richest picture
If you're not sure if you understand a particular word or principle then ask us to explain in the discussion below. If you feel that any principles are too technical, wordy or don't make sense, please let us know!
