I want to start an engagement project or consultation. What should I do first?

Firstly, that's great! Welcome to the Ideas Space. Have a look around and get to know the Your Say platform. Then, when you're ready to start contact one of the Engagement Officers to set up a kick off chat.

Where can I find help to develop my project?

There's lots of support available depending on what you need help with.

The Engagement officers are on hand and can be contacted directly for advice on developing and running a project.

There are weekly drop in sessions if you'd like to see a demo of the site and see how each of the tools work.

For help with the Your Say platform and the technical aspects of creating an online project there are lots of support blogs that can be accessed using the i button in the top right corner of the project screen. Or, contact the Bang The Table support team using the Live Messenger in the bottom right corner button. If that doesn't answer your question then please contact your Engagement Officer and we'd be happy to help!

There's other support for consultation and engagement across the organisation including Information Governance, Communications, Community Capacity and Co-production so please just ask!

My project is built - how do I launch it?

To make sure everything is working and that we've covered all the requirements of an online engagement project we ask that you catch up with your Engagement Officer to review and test the project and finalise the dates, reporting requirements and make any last minute changes.

The Engagement Officer will be able to help with the final launching checklist which includes submitting Data Protection information, agreeing wording with the Communications Team and ensuring key stakeholders have been informed of the launch before it happens (if relevant!).

The Engagement Officer supporting you will test and provide any final feedback to be addressed and they will Publish the project and any tools for you. Then the project is yours to share and monitor as planned.
