This space is dedicated to excellent, innovative, accessible and effective engagement for anyone interested in setting up a project on the Your Southend site or those engaging with people already; and that's all of us at SBC!
There's information about recent projects, ideas and stories of previous projects and a forum and news feed to discuss what's coming up.
There are so many skills across the organisation and brilliant work already happening and we want to learn from you and hear about your successes. It doesn't stop there because we know there's more we can do so we also need your ideas and feedback.

Project intro
It's great to see so many projects on the site. The intro text is a great way to summarise the aims and objectives of your project and ensure a good response, instead of using text why not create a short video or add some images too? How about speaking to the Comms team and seeing if they can create a short animation for you? Take a look on the Your Say Southend homepage for lots of great ideas.

Scrolling habits
I always forget that the content I'm creating is probably going to be looked at on a phone or tablet and not a computer so I'm trying to think more about how people use social media and what they might take the time to read. Images and videos are at the centre of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so if I can make things look close to those platforms then hopefully people will keep scrolling and engage. Maybe using the sharing tools and embedding social media feeds into the project page will help keep the conversation going?
