New City College: Havering - Ardleigh Green are excited to announce that they will be hosting an Information Day for current year 11 Elective Home Educated students and parents on Thursday 9^th May 2024.

The purpose of this event is to provide comprehensive information and support for families and individuals who are looking to progress with their studies in a college environment. This event aims to offer valuable resources, guidance and information about next steps.

South Essex City College is now accepting applications from current Year 9 & 10 home educated learners for the Pathways to College Course (starting September 2024).

• Child must be registered with the Local Authority

• Attend a successful interview

• Bring evidence of work completed at home

This is a community art project wherein the community produce a ‘Community’. The project is designed to encourage conversations about inclusion and tolerance. It is designed to help us think what community means to us and the role we play within it. It is also a fantastic chance to have a piece of work exhibited in the Beecroft Art Gallery! FREE Cycling Club

These sessions, ‘Tudor Tales and Medieval Melodies’ are the museums version of happy hour! They are relaxed, informal and everyone is welcome. Running between 11am and 12 noon, they will consist of an hour of fun stories, ditties and rhymes. These sessions are free and there is no need to book.

‘Tudor Tales and Medieval Melodies’ will be held at Prittlewell Priory on Wednesday 3^rd and 10^th April and Southchurch Hall on Sunday 7^th and 14^th April.

Youth Health Champions Event

The IronWorks and Southend’s Youth Health Champions partnered to put on a free event that celebrates and empowers young people, and provides them with the tools they need to create a positive change to their mental health and wellbeing.

The Youth Health and Wellbeing event was a huge success and took place on Saturday 4 February 2024 at The Ironworks Southend, 90 High Street, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS1 1JN.

The event showcased a range of community partners and health professionals.

There was interactive dance, spoken word and graffiti art workshops, exhibitions, a mental health awareness zone with sessions including yoga, meditation and a youth market place.
