Post consultation event update - September 2021

The Council would like to thank everyone who attended the consultation event on the 20th August and provided feedback on the proposal.

There were several common themes and questions raised by residents which we have sought to answer with our updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, which can be found in the documents section.

Whilst the planning process is ongoing, the Hill Foundation intend to progress with site investigation and the demolition of the existing garages. Residents who have a boundary against the garages will be contacted by the Hill Foundation in advance of works being carried out. Demolition is anticipated to take place in early-mid October subject to attaining the approval notice.

Please rest assured it is the intention to replace the existing boundary with the final boundary treatment. Where the existing garage wall forms a boundary with another property this will be replaced like for like in terms of height.

In the event planning permission is not secured, the site will have the final boundary treatment as mentioned above and the Council will re-evaluate the site for future use and/or development.
