Summer Update 2021
Over the last few months Southend Borough Council in partnership with the Salvation Army and the Hill Foundation have progressed the project with site investigation and design work now complete.
The Hill Foundation have submitted a planning application for six self-contained units within the Salt Reach Close garage site accessed via Juniper Road. The Local Planning Authority (LPA) will offer residents the opportunity to comment on the application as part of the planning process. Please note this consultation is carried out by the LPA, and not the Strategic Housing Team.
The planning application will be available via the planning portal once the application has been validated by the LPA, which usually takes two weeks - https://publicaccess.southend.gov.uk/online-applications/
We will be holding a walk-in event at St Cedds Church on Friday 20th Aug 2021 which aims to give local residents an opportunity to see what is proposed for the site. The Salvation Army, The Hill Foundation and Citizens UK will be present along with officers from the Council to provide information on the proposed scheme.
