Help shape the future of Shoeburyness - Pride in Place Shoeburyness

Pride in Place Shoeburyness has been engaging with residents and local organisations about their ambitions for the area. We have already received input from hundreds of people through surveys, door-knocking, meetings and community events.

David Hadjicostas MBE, Chair of the Pride in Place Shoeburyness Board, said:

"It's been great to see so many residents sharing their thoughts on what makes Shoeburyness special, what could be improved and how this investment could make a difference locally. We would particularly like to hear from more young people and people whose voices are not always represented in local conversations so that the programme reflects the views and aspirations of the whole community."

Pride in Place is working in partnership with SAVS and local organisations to gather ideas and feedback. We encourage groups to use the engagement toolkit and survey link to promote the conversation with their members, customers and service users.

You can also complete the survey yourself and share your views directly.

The conversation will continue throughout the ten-year programme, but the feedback received over the coming weeks will help inform the first Pride in Place Investment Plan, which must be submitted to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government by 30 November 2026.
