Background
On the 1st November 2022 the Southend-on-Sea City Council Public Spaces Protection Order (“the Order”) Southend Seafront and Adjoining Areas came into force. Due to the increasing number of complaints received about the irresponsible use of both BBQs and PWC and, in particular, because of the danger that the behaviour exhibited by an increasing number of BBQ and PWC users poses to public safety, it was appropriate to assess the need to introduce a PSPO covering that behaviour.
Please see other Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) out for consultation/comment in Related Projects section.
PSPO - Dog Control
PSPO - Anti-social Car Cruises
PSPO - Old Leigh and Chalkwell
PSPO - High Street and Seafront Area
