Consultation has concluded

Last year two ‘School Street’ pilot schemes were introduced in roads outside West Leigh and Bournes Green Schools. This consultation is an opportunity for you to let us know what you think about how these schemes are going and the impact they’ve had.

A School Street restricts access to motorised traffic on the roads outside schools during school drop-off and pick-up times during term time only. The scheme aims to create a safer and less congested street around the school and encourage active modes of transport.

The consultation sets out to understand how effective the school streets are and how they can be improved. The feedback received will provide information needed to assess whether they continue and help plan any future School Street schemes.

Consultation closed 5pm on Friday 11th November
