Are you 18-65 and a resident in Southend?
Do you, or someone you care for have a disability, a learning disability or mental health needs?
If so, we want to hear your views on Southend's 5-year strategy for working-age adults (18-65) called Living Well.
Commissioners at Southend Borough Council have previously spoken with several groups of adults to put together this first version of what is needed to improve the lives of working age (18-65) adults in Southend?
The 5 priority themes for this strategy are:
1.The importance of promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
2. The prevention of hospital and care admissions.
3. To deliver health, care, and housing in a joined-up way to promote independence.
4. For people to remain part of and be active within their communities.
5. Integrated person-centered services putting people and their support networks at the centre of their health and care.
How can you get involved?
We want you to join in the conversation and your comments and ideas will be considered when we write the final version of the Living Well Strategy.
- If you have your own ideas about how adult social care can support local people to live fulfilling lives, please share them with us on the 'Ideas' tab below.
